The input voltage range of this module is DC 8.5V to 50V, while the output voltage can be continuously adjusted from DC 10V to 60V, with a default setting of 19V. The input current can reach up to 15A, though it is recommended to enhance heat dissipation if the current exceeds 8A. The output current is rated at 12A, but it is related to the input and output voltage difference; the greater the voltage difference, the smaller the output current will be. Again, heat dissipation should be improved when the current exceeds 7A.
The quiescent current of this module is 10mA, but it may increase when converting from 12V to 20V. The constant current range is 0.5A to 12A, and the output power is calculated as the input voltage multiplied by the current. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C, and if the temperature becomes too high, heat dissipation should be enhanced.
This boost module operates at a frequency of 150kHz and boasts a conversion efficiency of up to 96%. The efficiency is directly related to the input/output voltage, current, and voltage difference. If the input current exceeds 15A, the module will automatically reduce the output voltage to protect against overcurrent.
Reverse input is not a concern with this module, but it is recommended to connect the module to the battery only after the battery has been completely discharged.
For adjusting the output voltage and current, the user can turn the "CV-ADJ" potentiometer clockwise to decrease the voltage and counterclockwise to increase it. For the output current, the "CC-ADJ" potentiometer should be turned counterclockwise by 30 circles to minimize the output current before connecting the load. Then, the "CC-ADJ" should be turned clockwise to the desired current value.
The module features two heat sinks to ensure better heat dissipation, which is crucial given the operating temperature range. The input and output terminals are equipped with screw terminals for convenient cable connection and disconnection.
